The day a name became a brand

On Wednesday, 10 September 2025, we gathered at Walibi Holland. YOY, the brand-new rollercoaster, opened exclusively for us that afternoon. A select group of clients, partners and our own team was in attendance. This was no ordinary launch party with balloons and cake. We shared an experience that immediately proved something meaningful. That afternoon, we unveiled our new company name. With that, the transition from De Digitale to Skippify became a fact.

A rollercoaster as a brand promise

The ride on the YOY coaster was certainly not the afterparty of the event. The fast ride itself was the absolute core moment of the afternoon. The reveal of the name Skippify and this attraction coincided perfectly. Together they formed one compelling, highly powerful statement. We did not want to explain our brand promise merely with abstract words.

We wanted our guests to experience this dynamic directly for themselves. After all, you do not build a strong brand in theory. You have to feel the impact of good communication right around you. This active starting signal reflects exactly how we go about our work every day.

Why Walibi and not a conference room

A presentation on a lit stage in Zaltbommel would of course have been possible. Yet we very deliberately chose a completely different, substantive approach. Walibi is a dynamic environment in which screen communication has a directly visible effect. Waiting times, complex routing and up-to-date visitor information run there across dozens of screens. Read more about our collaboration with Walibi Holland in our extensive case study. It is the perfect environment to show what we really do.

A quiet room would only have told our message passively to the listener. Walibi Holland, by contrast, showed the message in hard, real-world practice. Every minute of a visitor counts enormously in a theme park. You see immediately what smart screen communication does in such busy environments. Waiting-time management is, in daily practice, simply pure trust management. A visitor with clear information immediately feels calm and certainty.

What that afternoon really made clear

The conversations that followed brought depth to what we had just experienced. Under the guidance of Leonie ter Braak, an open dialogue arose with people who give direction to their sector every day. At the table, I explained the vision behind our transition. From the world of busy mobility retail environments, Jurgen Bloemers of OK Retail Nederland shared his perspective.

Jeroen Hillen of Statiegeld Nederland offered insight into the role of clear communication within large-scale public systems. And from Walibi Holland, Marc Guffens contributed his experience of how experience, flow and trust come together in a leisure environment. The setting was informal, but the insights were sharp and recognisable for everyone at the table.

From these conversations, one central and valuable insight emerged very clearly. A guest who immediately sees on a screen what is true where, acts faster. The visitor chooses more calmly and feels considerably less stress during the wait. Discover what Skippify does for leisure and entertainment to streamline this process. Digital screens play a seemingly quiet, but certainly not small role. They absorb the daily operational pressure rather than adding unrest.

This is exactly what Skippify, as a modern brand, represents every day. The technology works seamlessly and entirely reliably in the background. The actual experience of your visitor is thereby given all the room it needs. The communication flows invisibly together with the physical, busy environment.

From De Digitale to Skippify

Skippify is emphatically not a completely new and unknown company to the market. It is exactly the same team with the same high-quality technical expertise. We have, however, developed ourselves further and now work with a much broader scope. We once began purely with narrowcasting and carrying out physical installations. Today, we offer a complete ecosystem around screen communication. This includes strategy, content creation, order kiosks, dynamic menu boards, LED and managed services.

See online right away how managed signage works for your specific location. We no longer supply separate products, but one reliable, integrated suite. We are not a standard supplier, but an active partner with a clear promise. With this launch, the entire brand transition has been completed step by step. Feel free to read the story behind the name Skippify  for even more context. We have renewed our website, software and all client contact points with care.

We would like to warmly thank everyone who made this day with us. Many thanks to the clients and partners who shared their valuable stories. Thank you to Walibi Holland for the warm hospitality and the fast ride on YOY. Our own team also deserves great praise for the flawless organisation. FAQ

When did Skippify officially change its name?

What is the difference between De Digitale and Skippify?

Skippify is not a new company. It is the same team with the same expertise, but with a broader scope. What began with narrowcasting and installation has grown into a complete ecosystem of strategy, content creation, hardware, software and managed services.

What does Skippify do for the leisure sector?

Skippify helps leisure businesses such as theme parks and event venues make their screen communication work as an operational instrument. Think of waiting-time information, routing and visitor guidance across dozens of screens, so that guests act faster and the day simply feels better.

What does “Enjoy Smart Signage” mean?

It is Skippify’s brand promise: screen communication that does not stand out as technology, but as experience. Signage that absorbs busyness, makes choices easier and puts the experience of a guest or customer front and centre.

Where can I see Skippify in practice?

You are welcome at Skippify’s experience center van Skippify in Zaltbommel. There, we show how the suite works, from menu boards and order kiosks to LED and managed services.
